Oktoberfest

This past Saturday, we attended the St. Peter Church Auction in Northeast Ohio. This year marked the 21st year of the auction and to honor the age they themed it Oktoberfest. Complete with a beer and wine bar, a barrel of fun, and German decorations, the auction was the place to be.

Most of the guests dressed in their best German attire, whether that was a traditional German getup or a T-shirt representing a German male with a hairy chest (see below!). The auction was a great success with many parishioners attending, so much so that they ran out of beer–and the last three cans went for $75 dollars!

This year’s auction items included handmade items from the grade school students, a gazebo, lots of furniture, and a dinner with Fr. Jeff which went for $3,000! Money for the auction is used to expand and improve the school and church. This year the money will be used to resurface the stained glass windows that highlight St. Peter Church.
